I am curious if anybody else have seen or noticed this. It seems as of lately (maybe within the last 2-3 weeks) I have encountered a strange thing happening every so often when a logi is near death.
What happens is say I start to pummel them with my Gek (close range), their health drops as expected based on their shields/armor and how accurate my shots are, but when they get down to the last nub of health (or none at all) they seem to absorb damage at severely slowed pace.
Basically once they get down to their last bit of health, all of a sudden I have to put another half a clip into them to finish them off, when it should have only been a few more bullets based on how rapidly their armor was dropping prior. Quite a few heavies have this as effect as well, its like they have vehicle-like abilities in which they can activate some kind of armor-hardener. Because the damage being done is not consistent when their armor gets near critical.
I was thinking perhaps this is some kind of armor repper glitch (since it is constantly repping armor even if being actively damaged). Or maybe there is some module or skill that reps armor more when it is critical? Cause the inconsistency of damage being done when their armor is critical is very strange.
Also not only do I encounter this strange thing with their armor, but I have also encountered logis that are about as tough to kill as a well-speced heavy. I figured they were shield and/or armor stacking, but even then something feels wrong when shooting certain logi players.
Could be some weird lag thing, but not once have I had this happen when going up against an assault player or scout. |

Don't get me wrong, most logis I encounter go down as expected. It's just every once in a while this happens. I'm just trying to figure out if this is a legitimate skill or feature for certain logi suits, or if it's just a strange glitch that only happens when a logi fits things in a a very particular, yet seemingly random, way.

Interesting thought, it would make perfect sense if that was the case. Cause visually seeing their bar, and what their health really is on the server, could very well be different. |

Each time I have encountered this, the logi was not near any hives and was actively on the move.
As for the accuracy, well last night it happened while hip-firing with the logi only a few feet from me, hit-markers were still being triggered and I knew the shots were hitting. Everything was consistent right up until his armor only had a nub left.
Other times while in ADS at close-medium range, even if I could drop their health 99% near instantly and before the dispersion and violent AR shaking occurred, once they hit that special area of armor, the damage just seemed to slow by leaps and bounds.
I only use an AR, have been since I was in closed beta and have used it exclusively after CCP introduced the dispersion/shaking/iron sights/etc. I am pretty familiar with it's capabilities, limitations etc, and something just isn't jiving correctly with some of these logis (and some heavies) when their armor gets to nil. |

Dont judge my math you trolls its not completely accurate.
If it was the repper, then the armor should still have dropped consistently based on my hits, but that is not the case. I could be giving a perfectly solid stream of bullets, accurately hitting, getting hitmarkers and watching the armor drop at X speed, then it gets to the end and and I have to soak them with a dozen more bullets where, based on the armor dropping previously, they should have been dead with 1 or 2.
